It is a perfect trip for families and anyone that wants to spend the evening out on the river playing in rapids and taking in the beautiful scenery of the Exploits River. There is no minimum booking, single bookings are welcome as well!

This two hour rafting adventure is the most adventurous family-friendly rafting trip on the east coast for ages 10yrs+! Experience the biggest whitewater on the island as you raft through the stunning and unique Exploits River Canyon. Unlike our regular Canyon Adventure, our guides will do their best to keep you in the raft and to prevent the raft from flipping.

Participants should NOT have a fear of water though, as it is still possible (although unlikely) that the raft will flip or that you will fall off. If you're nervous, please book the Badger Chute instead!

We require a minimum of 48hrs notice for participants under 41kg/90lbs as we do not have youth safety equipment on-site.

For a truly unique rafting experience, try our night white water rafting adventure! We hit all the same awesome rapids that we do on our traditional trip, but as we clear the "Badger Chute" the sun will be setting behind us for a truly spectacular sight. We'll spend some time surfing the Roost and the infamous 50/50 rapid in the dying sunlight before drying off on a beautiful rock island around a campfire.

This trip is truly something special. There is nothing like fire-toasted baguette and cheese while you relax on an island as your guides cook you a decadent meal of salmon or sausages with a light salad over an open fire. Once the sun retires enjoy hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows and be prepared for some amazing star gazing without any light pollution interfering.

The return to the Raft Shack will be lit solely by the light of the moon. It's tough to put into words how beautiful the river is at night, but we promise it's an experience you will never forget!

On cloudy days we'll skip the stargazing of course, but the rest of the experience will still be well worth it! Trip is ideal for adults, but mature kids are welcome.

What makes this run EXTREME is our 4-person specialty raft! The waves are even BIGGER and the adventure even more intense with this small sporty raft! Same route as our Exploits Canyon Adventure, but we try and tone it down a bit. You'll face the same crazy HUGE rapids, but the guides will make every effort to keep you in the raft and to prevent the raft from flipping.  Flipping is still very possible, as is falling out, but it's not AS likely.

In addition to our guided adventures, you can explore your own personal paddling adventures and rent a canoe or kayak in Gorge Park. Ejnoy, this beautiful and calm section of the river at your own pace either alone or with friends. Some paddling experience is recommended (or you can participate in our Introduction to Canoeing/Kayaking first).

If you're looking for a different kind of adventure, we offer 4-5hr canoe & kayak tours from Riverfront Chalets at Aspen Brook to Beothuk Park in Grand Falls-Windsor. This is a 15km novice-friendly padding adventure that will take you past dozens of picturesque islands as you navigate the calm and friendly waters. You can participate with our canoes or kayaks, or even bring your own boat if you prefer. Meal is provided. No paddling experience is required.

This is the perfect option for someone who has taken an intro course or has some paddling skills and is looking to explore what this area has to offer. Once a week during the summer we will be hosting a guided group paddle on the "sunset alley" from Grand Falls-Windsor to Bishops Falls. If you have never paddled before we would recommend taking a lesson with us to maximize enjoyment but it is not strictly necessary. The sunsets on the river are stunning so get out and enjoy your backyard this summer!

Always been meaning to learn how to canoe/kayak, but never got around to it? Our instructors can help! Try our introduction to canoe/kayak lessons and our instructors will teach you the basics through an hour of private instruction! Absolutely no experience required! Minimum booking of 2ppl (single person bookings possible for additional fee). Client to guide ratio will be 2:1 for canoeing.

This 4-day kayaking camp is perfect for any beginner looking to refresh their knowledge in a safe environment or trying it out for the first time! You will start out on flatwater learning how to self-rescue and how to roll. Over the next few days, you will progress to running different class 2-3 sections of the Exploits River with a possible trip to other local rivers water level depending! The ultimate goal here is to help you fall in love with this beautiful sport, open your eyes to a new way to experience this island, and keep you safe through the experience.

This is the perfect option for someone completely new and looking to get a taste of the sport for the first time. The main goal of this option is to just have fun on the water in whatever way that works for you. Our instructors will teach you the basics all while keeping you safe on the river. The Exploits River is the perfect place for this with its deep safe water and warm temperatures. Try something new this summer and be the talk of tea time in NL!
